What to Expect During Treatment

SOT | Sacro-Occipital Technique

Chiropractors use a number of different techniques including manipulation to the joints of the spine or other areas of the body. Most often this involves a short impulse to the joint, bringing relief of symptoms. Other techniques are diversified adjustments, dry needling and soft tissue techniques.

The other technique this clinic specialises in is Sacro-Occipital Technique (SOT). SOT is a new comprehensive and advanced concept of chiropractic. Pioneered and developed through study, research and clinical application by Dr M.B.DeJarnette, for more than half a century Dr DeJarnette researched and studied every aspect of physiology and anatomy to clinically find that the human distortion falls into three basic groups. He labelled these groups as Categories I, II and III. All our Chiropractors are Advanced SOT certified and Clare and Helen are certified Craniopaths.

I started seeing Clare 5 years ago after suffering from a painful shoulder & arm. 12 weeks of NHS physio and acupuncture had failed and I was still in a lot of pain. After my first chiropractic session, I felt so much better and have visited regularly ever since. I would highly recommend Clare and the lovely receptionists here.
